Greater Austin Contractors & Engineers Association (ACEA) is proud to host our annual Central Texas Infrastructure Design & Construction Symposium. This civil engineering event provides an open forum for stakeholders involved in all aspects of infrastructure design and construction to grow together. Industry leaders can network with officials, discover new connections, recruit young talent, earn PD credits, test new technology, share regulatory concerns, and promote business interests. 

ACEA is excited to host Symposium 2024 at our new venue, the McCombs School of Business: Rowling Hall and AT&T Hotel & Conference Center. ​Symposium is a community-focused event and we welcome all industry professionals to join us. We welcome all members, non-members, city employees, students, and all experience levels to attend.

Keynote Speaker: Rob Hutton

Independent Consultant, Former DR Horton President, former Lennar Regional VP

Rob Hutton has spent 40+ years in real estate. He began his career as a commercial broker, and several years later joined a large, privately held, homebuilding company in Austin. He has underwritten approximately 1,200 land acquisition and development deals, and been a part of the design, construction, marketing, and sale of over 120,000 homes. He has also participated in several mergers and acquisitions, including the 2018 Lennar, CalAtlantic Merger, valued at $9.3 billion.
​He is the International Best selling author of "Think. Map. Do.-- How Ambitious Leaders Can Accelerate Their Climb Into Senior Management.”
Post retirement from Lennar, Rob is continuing his involvement with his two great passions—coaching talented young leaders, and focusing on land development. He is currently developing 1,000 acres north of Austin, that will translate into a MPC with ~3,500 lots.​

Student Scholarship

We are dedicated to empowering undergrad college students who are interested in the engineering and construction field of study. We invite students to attend Symposium and connect with industry professionals. Our sponsors and Board of Directors will award free admission to qualified applicants seeking to connect with our members at the event. (Only undergraduate students are eligible. Do not apply if you already have a bachelor's degree.)
