About ACEA

Since 1983, the Austin Contractors & Engineers Association (ACEA) has brought together the contractors, civil engineers, suppliers, and industry professionals who help build Central Texas. Our members are the people and companies behind the roads, utilities, and infrastructure that keep our communities growing.

ACEA was founded to give our industry a stronger voice in the decisions affecting construction and development in the Austin area. More than 40 years later, that remains a big part of what we do. We work with local officials, public agencies, and industry leaders to address challenges, improve development processes, and advocate for practical solutions that benefit both our members and the communities we serve.

But relationships have always been just as important to ACEA as the work itself. Our monthly luncheons, committee meetings, golf tournaments, annual Fish Fry, and other events bring together people who might otherwise only cross paths on a project or at a jobsite. It's an opportunity to exchange ideas, catch up with familiar faces, meet someone new, and enjoy being part of the industry.

Beyond the events and advocacy, our members also support scholarships and community initiatives throughout Central Texas. There's a genuine sense of involvement here, and much of what ACEA accomplishes comes from members who volunteer their time, share their experience, and care about the future of our industry.
