Every luncheon includes Committee Reports that provide updates on current projects, plus sponsors have an opportunity to introduce their company and services.

Dustin Goss receives President's Gavel from Garrett Shepperd

Casey Moore gives her book to Varsha Gudla

The July luncheon started off with Garrett Shepperd handing the gavel over to Dustin Goss, incoming ACEA board president for 2024-2025. Dustin presented Garrett with an award in recognition of his contributions and leadership.

​Speaker Casey Moore, The Productivity Coach, presented tips for mental fitness exercises to boost effectiveness and ways to relieve stress. Casey gave away one of her books to Varsha Gudla of Bleyl Engineering.

Sponsor Jonathan Mohler of Contech Engineered Solutions presented the door prize to Scott Swiderski of Gray Engineering.

Dustin Goss presents new member plaque to Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI)

Frank Castro presents member prize to Steve Ihnen

Transit Forward Executive Director, Bill McCamley, spoke at ACEA’s August Luncheon. Transit Forward is an Austin 501c3 with a mission to educate and engage the community about transit with a focus on Project Connect. Bill’s energetic presentation provided an overview on transportation solutions the City of Austin is pursuing. 

ACEA Board President Dustin Goss welcomed new member - Professional Services, Inc. (PSI) - and presented their member plaque to Getu Shawile, Milton Torress, and Justin Castro. 

Frank Castro of The Nitsche Group, and Membership Committee chair, presented the quarterly membership prize to Steve Ihnen, Bleyl Engineering. This is the second time Steve has won the prize this year. 

Tim Weston of MLA Geotechnical presented a door prize to Joe Holweger of Opifex.

(Each month, members can introduce a non-member guest at an ACEA luncheon and enter the guest into the door prize drawing.)

In September, speakers Sam Roberts, PE of BCRUA, and Aaron Archer, PE of Walker Partners, presented a timely update on the BCRUA Phase 2 Raw Water Delivery System. Rain for Rent sponsored the luncheon and Derrick Salinas presented a door prize to James Lesko of AGH2O Holdings.
